Our house has been on the market now, nearly 1 year. We have had various viewings, but no offers. We feel our estate agents are not very good, we think it is all down to the photos they took, not very flattering etc. We asked them to use our photos.

First of all I think that you chose bad time for selling. If you don't have urgent need of money you better wait. Second - I think that making your own web site is not the better solution cause if you want people to buy your house they have to see the web site and if it is on the last pages of the search engines they won't visit it unless they have heard for the site from someone.
